If I’m an active person with full-time work...

If I’m an active person with full-time work, a family life and a busy social network, who also exercises and does crossword puzzles or Sudoku, do I still need brain training? Does it have any benefits for me?

How do CogniFit brain fitness programs improve my aging brain?

CogniFit employs a team of internationally respected scientists who apply the most rigorous and up-to-date research to develop our programs, so that you receive the best cognitive training available anywhere. Our brain fitness programs offer you three major advantages over other programs:

What is the scientific evidence that CogniFit brain fitness programs really work?

We were able to show in several studies that training with CogniFit can benefit all users, both healthy and non-healthy, in a variety of settings. For additional details please refer to our scientific studies or our case studies.

Why are CogniFit brain fitness programs better than playing computer games?

In a recent study, CogniFit Personal Trainer was proven superior to playing computer games. Two groups of elderly users were recruited. The first group trained with CogniFit Personal Trainer 3 times a week for 3 months, and the second group played a set of well-known computer games for the same amount of time. Cognitive performance was measured by an independent test known as NexAde™. The CogniFit group showed greater benefits in the categories of Focus, Memory, Learning and Mental Flexibility. They also received higher overall cognitive scores than the computer-games group.

What kind of brain training is most effective?

While any training is better than no training at all, research has proven that the key to an effective brain fitness program is its ability to maintain a sufficient level of challenge over a range of different activities. For instance, when you do crossword puzzles, after a while you become very good at it, and as you learn the meanings of more words, the puzzles become easier for you to solve. But crossword puzzles can’t constantly adjust to make themselves more challenging as you become more adept, so the benefits of doing them will gradually decline.
