When it comes to brain fitness, does competing with others in brain fitness activities help or hurt?
Usually competition drives you to try harder, but this is not the case with brain training. The reason is that when it comes to cognitive ability, we are all very different. Our strengths and weaknesses vary from one person to another, making it almost impossible to compare two individuals. Therefore, competing with others in mental activity is not the issue. What you should strive for instead is to improve in relation to yourself.
