Concentration is a key skill that you need to nurture in your daily life. In our modern societies, information-processing demands on the individuals are continually increasing. We are constantly requested to attend to changing environmental conditions and stimuli. To do so you divide your attention: you allocate some resources to what you were doing and others to what you are now doing. This is divided attention. There are additional attention processes that are also higher-order processes. Dual-tasking and multi-tasking (attending to and doing two or more tasks in the same time interval) are among the most complex ones.
