Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common mental disorders that develop in children. Children with ADHD experience impaired functioning at home, at school, and in relationships with their peers. If untreated, the disorder can produce long-term adverse effects, extending into adolescence and adulthood, in as many as 50 percent of children diagnosed with ADHD/ADD.
