From your API account to your first integration.

An integration always has two halves: your backend, with client_id and client_secret, and your frontend, with client_id and a short-lived access token.

Integrate an activity, backend and frontend
Your server creates the user with POST /registration, stores the user_token and, right before showing CogniFit, calls POST /issue-access-token for a short-lived access_token.
Your frontend launches the assessment, training or game with the JavaScript, Android or iOS SDK, or redirects to the launch endpoint with your registered callback URL. With listenEvents, the SDK reports when the session is completed or aborted.
Retrieve results and prepare production
Read scores, skills and the PDF assessment reports (as files or URLs) from your server with the user_token. All endpoints require HTTPS, callback URLs are registered beforehand, and the limit is 90 calls per minute per partner (above it, 429 Too Many Requests).
When you are ready to go live, choose a production plan inside the Developer Platform for production API access.

What does the free account include?

What does an integration require?

Work on both sides. Your backend holds client_secret and every user_token, creates users and issues short-lived access tokens; your frontend opens the activity with the SDK or the launch endpoint. The API reference covers each call.

Does it work on web and in apps, and do my users need a second login?

It runs on your website, in mobile browsers, in web views with the JavaScript SDK and in native apps with the Android and iOS SDKs. Your users need no second login: your backend creates or associates their CogniFit account and issues an access token for each session.
