Distance Estimation is the capacity to estimate an object's future location based on its current distance. By doing so you are able to navigate successfully in a 3D environment without colliding into other people or objects.
Example: If you ever needed to walk in a crowded street, you probably noticed that you had to estimate the distance of other people around you in order to get to your destination without colliding into them.
