Technical Specifications

The CogniFit Verbal Description Test is based on the cookie theft image description task from the Boston Diagnostic Aphasia Examination (BDAE; Goodglass & Kaplan, 1972). To complete this activity it will be necessary to pay visual attention to all the things that happen or are shown in the image, understand them and name them out loud.

  • Cognitive skills evaluated:Planning and verbal production.
  • Administration time:Between approximately 100 seconds and 3 minutes.
  • Areas of application:Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Neuropsychology, General Medicine and Research.
  • Support:Online Computerized Test (PCs, mobile phones and tablets).
  • Objective:Say out loud the greatest number of elements present in the image shown.
  • Task instructions:Describe out loud everything that is happening in the image before time runs out.
