The CogniFit Symbol Digit Modalities Test is based on the classic Symbol Digit Modalities Test (Smith, 1968). This task is specifically aimed at measuring the user's processing speed and associative learning.

- What is measured:Processing speed, selective attention, focused attention, visual scanning, working memory, and associative learning
- Time allowed:2 minutes, approximately.
- Areas of application:Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Neuropsychology, General Medicine and Research.
- Format:Online Computerized Test (PCs, cell phones, and tablets).
- Objective:The objective of the task is to correctly identify the digit associated with each presented symbol as quickly and accurately as possible using the reference key.
- Instructions:Select the number associated with the symbol noted in the table as fast as possible without making mistakes. You will have 90 seconds to answer as many symbols correctly as you can.
