Technical Specifications

The WOM-ASM Sequencing Test is based on the classic direct and indirect digit test of the WAIS-III (Wechsler, 1997). Through this task we can test the user's ability to retain in the short term phonological information presented visually.

Start task

For more information about what variables are measured in this task, read this document.

  • Evaluated cognitive abilities:Short-term memory, phonological shor-term memory, working memory, processing speed and response time.
  • Time allowed:Between approximately 30 seconds and 5 minutes.
  • Areas of application:Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Neuropsychology, General Medicine and Research.
  • Format:Online Computerized Tests (PCs, cell phones, and tablets).
  • Objective:Memorize an increasing amount of numbers in each series to repeat them in the same order.
  • Task instructions:A series of balls with different numbers will appear on the screen. The user must observe the presentation of the series of numbers that appear on the balls and must memorize them in order to be able to repeat them after the presentation. First the series will be of one number, then the series will be of two numbers and so on until the user makes a mistake in memorizing the corresponding series. Special attention must be paid to each series of numbers since after the presentation, the user will have to reproduce the same series presented previously.
